In this episode, Laura Hernandez and Host Annette Hines discuss the life of a mom and how to reduce the workload and run the home smoothly by applying the organization strategies that Laura developed through her agency, Mama Systems. As a mother of ten struggling to just make it through each day, Laura developed new techniques and systems to ensure that her family could have a more peaceful lifestyle.  She and her husband, Tony, who live in the Dallas area adopted a sibling group of three children through foster care who have Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and they have another child who is on the autism spectrum, and their other children have a variety of other disabilities such as anxiety and ADHD. Incredibly Laura manages 20+ appointments a week for her four special needs children. It took her 10 years to develop systems and life hacks to keep her family running and organized. Thus, she is very passionate and dedicated to helping women bring more peace to their homes. Her specialty is designing customized systems that help a family run more smoothly and reduce their daily work through implementing techniques like schedules, incentives, ‘batchworking’ chores, and delegating. Laura is also a Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Mama Coach to provide resources and guidance for how to make life easier by taking everyday tasks and making them easier.

In May 2023, Annette Hines was featured on Laura’s podcast, Mama Systems, in an episode entitled: Advocating with Special Needs Trusts.
